Our Story
The Auers: Growing a “Ninja Warrior” Family
Like many others, we started out as fans of the challenge, excitement, and competition of the American Ninja Warrior show. As a family we’ve been training, learning, exploring, participating, and contributing to the incredible “ninja warrior” community, just waiting for the right moment to act.
Caleb, always athletic, initially explored parkour (running, jumping and flying across obstacles) in his early teens, and later rock climbing at Triangle Rock Club. But when Warrior Tech OCR opened in Morrisville, NC in 2017, he and brother Josh took up the sport with a passion, with competitions and serious training.
From Dream to Reality: Mobile Ninja Warrior
Caleb earned his business degree while nurturing his design talent and ninja skills. Soon after graduation, true to our entrepreneurial roots and with an eye to the future, Caleb and Ken created “Rock Solid Warrior LLC.”
Caleb launched “Mobile Ninja Warrior” part-time while working as the Day Camp Director at Warrior Tech. Ken led the creation of Ninja Master software—forging deeper bonds in the ninja community. And we all helped Mike Cook and Ultimate Backyard Warrior put on one of the biggest and best Ninja Warrior events in the country.
With God’s Grace & Guidance: Full Ninja Warrior Facilities
We kept praying for God’s timing to guide us to our own gym, and one day He led us to the Fuquay Sports Center. Originally we were looking at the last spot in the building, a 5000 square foot space. By God’s providence, a tenant decided they were moving out of a 8000+ square foot area in the same building—one with everything we wanted, and just about all we had to do was fill it with obstacles and rock walls!
By next morning, Caleb had shown Ken his new layout. Both were blown away by what God had allowed him to put together in just a few hours.
Yes, we give the credit to God, creating a place that would be an extension of our family that has placed its trust in Jesus Christ, our Lord. The name “Rock Solid Warrior” was given to us before we had a true plan. During their appearances on American Ninja Warrior and American Ninja Warrior Junior, Caleb and Josh have chosen to put “Matthew 7:24-27” on their shirts. The words of this passage are from Jesus as He walked the earth.
We’d love to tell you more about how Jesus has been the Solid Rock on which we have built our lives, by His grace. Grace is not something we earned, but something we received. It is “unmerited favor.” We hope you will find our gym to be a place of grace and peace.
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, maybe compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”
— Matthew 7:24-27
