When Lynnette visited her good friend, Jenn, at our Fuquay location in February 2022, she fell in love with the kids, the facility, and the staff. As a preschool teacher for seventeen years, Lynnette was well-acquainted with working with children, and was excited to be working with kids who were kindergarten-aged and above. She asked to join the Rock Solid team, and started working at our Fuquay location in March of 2022. In June of 2022, Lynnette became the Day Camp Director of our South Apex location, and pours love onto everyone she meets – kids, parents, and staff members alike.
Lynnette and her husband, Bob, have been married for 28 years, and have been together for 35 years. They moved from Illinois to North Carolina in October of 2011 with their two daughters. Lynnette has a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Applied Design, but continued her education by taking Early Childhood Classes when she started volunteering at her daughter’s preschool. She quickly fell in love with childcare and childhood education, and has been working in that field ever since.
Lynnette loves reading, puzzles, hanging out with family, and being with friends. She also loves to cheer on her husband Bob at his work with the North Carolina State Women’s Gymnastics team.
Lynnette is a wonderful and caring person. She often takes on the “mom” role to our younger staff at Rock Solid, who call her their “work mom.” Lynnette’s laughter and smile is infectious, and you can often find her at school open house days or other public events because she is so friendly and loves talking to other people.
Lynnette is all about unifying her staff and day camp kids as a team, and encouraging them to be kind and love others. You can often hear her say, “Always make good choices to fill someone’s heart.” Once you interact with Lynnette, we know your heart will be very full. We are so thankful to have her at our South Apex facility.
