While you can most often see D.J. as an excellent Birthday Party Host at one of our facilities, you can also find D.J. crushing some rock climbing walls at NC State and elsewhere! D.J. is graduating in May of 2024 with her B.A. in Economics from NC State, and has been taking rock climbing and weight-lifting classes for her electives for the last few years and loves it! She started working at Rock Solid because of her love and climbing and her love of children. She thought it was remarkable that she could find a job where she could get paid for doing what she loves!
D.J. is always smiling, and always down to have fun! She has an absurd amount of hobbies and interests, and is excited that her degree is in one of your favorite interests — teaching others about economics, communication, and understanding finances. She also loves drawing, and challenging herself to do new things. One day in highschool, she decided to bike 40 miles in one day just for fun!!
D.J. comes to us with thirteen years of competitive swim experience, as well as ten years of gymnastics. She coached swim team and swim lessons for three years at Southall swim and Rocket Club, and she was also a lifeguard for the city of Raleigh for several years. D.J. regularly “saves” our Weekend Coordinator much stress and trouble with always jumping in to whatever is needed! She loves how supportive our leadership team is here at Rock Solid, and how her co-workers make the work environment so fun.
One of D.J.’s favorite Bible verses is 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Thank you for sharing your love to our community, D.J., and for making our days so bright and beautiful!
